Match Preview ACLTwo MD1 Group G | Selangor FC vs Bangkok United FC | ACLTwo Is Back!

Selangor FC will host Bangkok United FC for the first match of the 2025/26 AFC Champions League Two at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya today at 6pm.

Competing in the AFC Champions League Two for two consecutive seasons, Katsuhito Kinoshi will not leave out the local players and is confident of starting this competition with the first victory.

“We are very honored to be participating in the ACL Two for the second consecutive year. This opportunity will make the team stronger as we will face great teams from other countries. We are excited to start this campaign and are determined to build momentum together. Our goal is to go as far as possible in this tournament, starting with three points at home in the first match this evening,” he enthused.

“The Red Giants squad does not depend on just one player, as every player needs to be ready with their role on the pitch to fight fully for a place in the starting lineup. Whether it is a local or imported player, the selection depends on their performance and readiness. So far, all players including the young players and goalkeepers have been given playing minutes. Whatever the team’s situation, I am still confident in the team’s team spirit to continue moving forward in every struggle,” he added.

As for player availability, before the match against Bangkok United FC this evening, most of the players are ready to be fielded for the badge on the chest.
